Death troopers is prob tied for my favorite star wars book, along with Revan. Star Wars would make a great horror franchise IMO, but they very rarely explore it. I read this book once in high school and thought it was one of the better-written star wars books – and then again ten years later a couple of years ago, assuming it’d be cringe as heck but I read the thing in one night instead of taking my usual month and a half.

The best Star Wars books out there, especially Legends Never Die 1936 2020 Charlie Daniels Thank You For The Memories Signature Vintage Shirt the Aaron Allston ones. The problem with the mainstream books is that you know the main characters will always survive and they don’t have major character arcs because those happen in the films. In the X-wing books, you have almost entirely original characters, so they can tell great stories with well-developed characters that don’t rely on the wider universe to limit what they can tell. I know this gets said about literally everything, but I really wish the three Wraith Squadron books would get a three-season TV series.
