Unfortunately, in low socioeconomic schools in Heat Makes Things Expand I’m Not Fat I’m Just Hot Shirt particular, this isn’t all that uncommon. I have a few students that are in similar situations right now, COVID obviously makes it especially difficult. Of course, it’s not always an abusive thing, a lot of teenagers are very occupied after school no matter what it is. Teenager me would have loved her as a teacher. I wouldn’t have learned shit, but it would have been an easy class. Adult me realizes this is a poor way to teach and thinks its probably because she doesn’t want to have to take up HER precious “free” time to grade homework. I failed my final year of high school (and ultimately dropped out) because of homework.

My mom’s new boyfriend kicked me out, and in order Heat Makes Things Expand I’m Not Fat I’m Just Hot Shirt to keep a roof over my head, I worked 4 to midnight Sun-Thurs, and waited tables 3rd shift Fri & Sat nights. If more teachers took students being whole people into consideration, my life could have been much different. 100%. I was undiagnosed with ADHD in high school, was taking an extra class every year, and doing all advanced/AP on top of being in Choir, Theatre, and Student Government/Newspaper (switched out halfway through high school) so quite frankly… I did have time to do homework! I would always get A’s or high B’s on tests but get a low B in the class from homework alone.
