Yeah I wanted to join when I got out of high school and Nice Chicken Guess What Shirt my dad who was a vet talked me out of it. Which was probably for the best as my friends that joined all cane back damaged as hell. This was at the height of the Iraq war and that’s where they all ended up. I noticed that the ones that had spent their lives preparing to join came back the most disillusioned and resentful towards our own country for what they had to do there. We worship guns and uniforms with little regard to what they’re being used for.
